Painter (Social Housing)

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Painter for a temporary assignment based in South Shields. This role involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting maintenance and refurbishment works across residential and public sector properties. Overview: This is a hands-on role carrying out painting and decorating tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements. Main Duties: * Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming prior to painting * Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and external surfaces * Carry out work in void and occupied properties * Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales * Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times Essential Criteria: * NVQ 2 in Painting & Decorating or equivalent * Experience working within social housing or public sector environments preferred * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively * Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards * Full UK driving licence * DBS clearance is required If your skills match the above criteria, please apply with your up-to-date CV
