The organisation specialises in supporting children and young people who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may present with emotional and behavioural needs. Role Overview The Registered Manager will be responsible for the effective leadership and operational management of the residential home, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and the home’s Statement of Purpose. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the residential home • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation • Register with the regulator and uphold registration standards and conditions • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the staff team • Lead recruitment processes including vetting, interviewing, and induction • Promote staff development and retention through structured training programmes • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child-centred care • Liaise with internal and external multidisciplinary professionals and commissioning authorities • Ensure the care needs of new and existing young people are fully met • Participate in the on-call rota • Work closely with senior operational management Candidate Requirements • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards • Senior-level experience within a Children’s Residential setting • Strong understanding of safeguarding, inspection frameworks, and regulatory compliance • Experience managing Ofsted inspections • Full UK manual driving licence • Commitment to ongoing professional development Benefits • Salary from £50,000 per annum • Competitive pay structure • Generous sleep-in remuneration • 41 days annual leave (including bank holidays and long-service accrual) • Access to employee wellbeing programme • Structured training and development pathway This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references prior to commencement
