CNC Operator

CNC Operator A global manufacturing company is seeking experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Turning) to work at their modern manufacturing site in Nottingham. You will be responsible for operating and setting CNC Turning machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls. A selection of Shifts are available from: * Monday to Friday - Mornings and Afternoons, * Monday to Friday - Permanent Afternoons * Sunday to Thurs - Permanent Night Shift. Benefits: * £32k to £38k (dependent on skills, higher £s require CNC programming experience) * PLUS Shift Premium * 10% on Afternoon shift hours * OR 20% on perm Night shifts * Company Bonus Scheme (up to 5% of annual salary) * 25 Days Holidays plus bank holidays * Modern, clean facility * Access to onsite gym and Subsidised canteen Shifts: Rotating Mornings and Afternoons * Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, and Fri 6am to 1pm * Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm and Friday 1pm to 8pm Afternoons only * Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm and Friday 1pm to 8pm Nights only * Sun 11pm – 6am, Mon to Thurs 10pm – 6am Key responsibilities of CNC Setter / Operator: * Set / operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Turning Machines * Adjust machine controls (Fanuc and Mazatrol) and tool settings to keep part dimensions within specified tolerances * Work from CAD designs and specifications to complete various machining operations using information such as dimensions, tolerances, quantities, and any special instructions * Responsible for own quality using CMM and shadowgraph machines * Alter offsets according to SPC results * Participate in Lean / Six Sigma activities and other process improvement activities CNC Setter / Operator Knowledge and Skills Required: * Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings * Good knowledge of CNC Turning machines and ability to set up tooling * Ability to use simple gauges or instruments * Working knowledge of maths in a manufacturing environment * Ability to work well in a team environment * Experience of working with Fanuc and Mazatrol controlled CNC machinery (desirable) If you have the required skills and qualifications for the CNC Setter / Operator role and would relish an exciting challenge, please apply or contact Stuart Cooper to discuss in further detail.
