Commercial Manager (T&D)

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager on a 6 month rolling contract based in Stafford – Hybrid (Site). To lead and manage the commercial performance of substation projects, ensuring effective cost control, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation in line with NEC contract requirements. Key Responsibilities * Lead project cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. * Manage NEC contract administration, including compensation events, early warnings, and change control processes. * Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. * Oversee valuation of works, subcontractor payments, and final accounts. * Provide commercial advice to project and senior leadership teams. * Ensure robust governance, audit compliance, and accurate cost tracking. * Support tendering, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations where required. Requirements * Strong expertise in NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4). * Proven experience managing commercial performance on infrastructure or substation projects. * Demonstrated ability in cost management, forecasting, and change control. * Strong understanding of risk management and contract law principles. * Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
