Major Projects Manager - South


About the Company A well-established UK power infrastructure contractor delivering complex electrical construction projects across distribution and transmission networks. The organisation works closely with network operators, developers and major clients to deliver high-voltage infrastructure safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards. With a strong focus on operational excellence and growth, the business delivers major projects that support the resilience of the UK’s electricity network. The Role The Major Projects Manager (South) will take full responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of high-value electrical infrastructure projects, primarily between 33kV and 132kV. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams across construction, commercial, planning and delivery functions, whilst acting as a senior point of contact for clients, network operators and key stakeholders. Working closely with design and business development teams, the successful candidate will oversee programme, cost, safety and quality performance across multiple schemes. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on operational delivery, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.  Experience Required Proven experience managing major electrical infrastructure or utility projects, including installation and commissioning activities up to 132kV. Strong leadership background managing multidisciplinary teams across construction, commercial, planning and site operations. In-depth knowledge of electrical network standards, safety rules and contestable works requirements within DNO, IDNO or TNO environments. Demonstrable ability to manage programme, cost, risk and change control across a portfolio of high-value projects. HNC (Level 4) or higher in Electrical Engineering, with strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a demanding, safety-critical environment
