Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Contractor

Job Purpose To ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and aerospace regulatory requirements within a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The HSE Officer will promote a strong safety culture aligned with industry standards such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and aerospace quality frameworks like AS9100. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Regulatory Compliance • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and local safety legislation • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA requirements where applicable) • Support audits aligned with AS9100 and ISO standards • Maintain required permits, certifications, and safety documentation 2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control • Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Risk Assessments • Identify hazards in machining, composite fabrication, chemical handling, painting, and assembly processes • Implement engineering and administrative controls • Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) systems 3. Incident Management • Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents • Perform root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.) • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) • Maintain incident reporting systems 4. Audit & Continuous Improvement • Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections • Support external audits (customer, regulatory, aerospace certification bodies) • Track KPIs (TRIR, LTIR, environmental metrics) • Drive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives ________________________________________ If this sounds like you, in the first instance please reply to this advert with an updated version of your CV.
