HV Test Engineer / Test Lead

With a strong focus on technical excellence and compliance, they play a critical role in supporting the UK’s power and industrial networks. The Role As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the wire checking and scheme verification of control and protection panels within a factory environment, as well as supporting field-based activities across the UK. You will test protection relays, lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and identify and resolve design issues efficiently. The role involves ensuring that all equipment is fully tested prior to dispatch to site, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding high standards of health and safety. Reporting to a Lead or Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key part in delivering compliant, fully tested systems to clients.  Experience Required ONC (or equivalent) in Engineering with a minimum of five years’ experience within a testing environment. Strong knowledge of control and protection schemes, including protection relays and associated functions. Proven ability to interpret and prove electrical schematics using multimeters and injection test equipment, with capability to adjust relay settings where required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead Factory Acceptance Tests and liaise effectively with stakeholders. Full UK driving licence and strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
