Project Manager

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Project Managers on a 6 month rolling contract based in UK Wide. To hold overall responsibility for the successful delivery of substation projects, ensuring performance across safety, programme, cost, quality, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Lead end-to-end project delivery from design through construction and commissioning. * Manage programme performance, cost control, and resource planning. * Act as the primary client interface, maintaining strong working relationships with National Grid and key stakeholders. * Administer and manage NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, and change control. * Ensure compliance with client standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. * Oversee risk management processes and implement mitigation strategies. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civils, primary, P&C, and commissioning. * Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities. Requirements * Proven experience delivering substation projects (132kV–400kV) for National Grid. * Strong knowledge of NEC contract management (NEC3/NEC4). * Demonstrated experience managing programme, cost, and risk on complex infrastructure projects. * Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. * Strong commercial awareness and decision-making capability.
