Project Manager - Engineering Projects (Multiple Concurrent) Christchurch, Dorset | Up to £55,000 + Benefits | 37.5 hrs** Are you an Engineer‑trained Project Manager who thrives on pace and variety? Or a Project Engineer who has delivered smaller projects and is ready to step into full ownership of multiple end‑to‑end projects? This is a great opportunity to join a Global Engineering Business near Christchurch, managing a busy portfolio rather than one long programme. Join a global engineering and manufacturing business where you'll manage a busy portfolio of diverse engineering projects, working closely with design, production, procurement and customers. No slow programmes, no siloed work - just real responsiblity. The Role - Engineering Project Ownership You'll take full responsibility for 15-20 live engineering/assembly projects, leading them from order to final handover. Your focus will be on planning, coordination and delivery, including: Owning each project end‑to‑end Creating and maintaining detailed schedules and milestones Coordinating engineering, production, planning and supply chain Leading regular project reviews on progress, risk, cost and customer commitments Managing budgets, hours and contract variations Acting as the primary customer contact throughout Ensuring all quality, inspection and documentation requirements are met Managing packing, logistics and shipping against contractual terms Running structured close‑out and feeding improvements into future deliveryYou'll be encouraged to challenge existing ways of working and help evolve best‑practice across the operations function. About You - An Engineer Who Manages Projects This role requires an engineering background - mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or similar and experience working as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in an engineering and manufacturing, production or assembly environment. You'll fit well if you have: Engineering experience within engineered and manufactured / assembled products, manufacturing, equipment or assemblies Project Manager experience or Project Engineer experience with ownership of smaller schemes Engineering qualification: Degree, HNC or HND The ability to manage multiple projects at pace Strong communication skills with design, production and customers Solid understanding of budgets, cost control and contract variations Knowledge of H&S expectations on engineering projects A practical, solutions‑focused mindset and calm decision‑making styleIf you enjoy being hands‑on with engineering detail while steering delivery at a high level, this role will play to your strengths.
