Production Supervisor - Engineering Assembly & Test | Christchurch Salary: Up to £55,000 + Pension Hours: 37.5 per week Are you a hands‑on leader from an engineering, assembly or test environment who thrives on keeping work flowing smoothly on the shop floor? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Global Engineering & Manufacturing business at their established site in Christchurch. You will take ownership of the full Engineering Assembly & Test Process - from goods‑in and inspection through mechanical/electrical build, testing, calibration and final packing. This is an engineering assembly leadership role, not a manufacturing management position. About the Production Supervisor Role You will lead a team of around 10 technicians delivering final assembled products involving engineered assembly (both mechanical and electrical assemblies), test & certification. You will coordinate workflow, ensure build quality, support testing activities and drive on‑time delivery. This role suits someone who enjoys being actively involved in the workshop, leading from the front and resolving issues quickly to keep assembly moving. Key Responsibilities of Production Supervisor Lead day‑to‑day engineering assembly, test and calibration activities to meet delivery schedules Coordinate with Stores, Engineering, Supply Chain and Project teams Ensure build documentation, quality packs and test records are completed accurately Manage non‑conformances and contribute to continuous improvement activity Maintain safe working practices in line with Health & Safety standards Support training and development of apprentices and new starters Contribute to production planning and highlight risks to delivery performance What We're Looking For Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) and/or experience as an Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) Experience leading teams in assembly, test or engineering workshop environments Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical assembly processes Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret BOMs Proven ability to deliver multiple assemblies on time and to quality standards Confident communicator able to work effectively with technicians and engineers Practical problem solver with a hands‑on leadership approach Salary & Benefits Up to £55,000 Pension 26 days holiday + bank holidays 37.5‑hour working week Commutable From Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole, Ringwood, Ferndown, Wimborne, Southampton, Salisbury and surrounding areas.
