Diagnostic Technician The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a professional workshop environment. This role focuses on advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems, supporting the workshop in resolving complex technical issues efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities * Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and third-party diagnostic equipment * Identify and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults * Support and mentor other technicians with diagnostic guidance * Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards * Carry out servicing and repair work when required * Accurately complete job cards, reports and digital health checks * Ensure compliance with health & safety and workshop procedures * Keep up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins and training The Ideal Candidate * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair * Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Technician * Strong fault-finding and analytical skills * Confident using diagnostic tools and vehicle systems software * EV / Hybrid certification (desirable but not essential) * MOT Tester licence (advantageous) * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * Competitive salary with bonus and overtime opportunities * Manufacturer and advanced technical training * Modern workshop and diagnostic equipment * Clear progression to Master Technician level * Pension scheme and company benefits * Supportive and professional working environment
