Senior Vehicle Technician Location: Leeds Salary or rate: £40,000 - £45,000 plus overtime Contract type: Permanent Hours or shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm About the role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-equipped workshop in Leeds. This position would suit a skilled and confident Senior Vehicle Technician who enjoys taking on more complex repair and diagnostic work while supporting a dedicated team of technicians. As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining high workshop standards, ensuring every job is completed safely, accurately, and on time. You will also act as a mentor to junior technicians, share your expertise across the team, and step in to oversee daily workshop operations when required. Key responsibilities Carry out complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a range of vehicles Support and mentor junior and apprentice technicians, providing hands-on guidance Oversee workflow within the workshop and ensure efficiency and quality standards are maintained Complete all job cards and related paperwork accurately and on time Liaise confidently with customers and suppliers, providing clear updates and technical advice Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment Skills and experience required Essential: Proven experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician or experienced Vehicle Technician ready to step up Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities using the latest diagnostic equipment A full UK driving licence Excellent communication and teamwork skills Desirable: Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) Prior experience in a supervisory or senior workshop role Up-to-date manufacturer or main dealer training What is on offer Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per year plus overtime opportunities Monday to Friday working hours with no weekend shifts Ongoing training and development to enhance your technical and leadership skills Long-term stability with a reputable and supportive workshop team How to apply If you are an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician looking for your next challenge in Leeds, we would love to hear from you.
