Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care Location: Carmarthenshire Salary: £38,500 Hours: Monday-Friday Contract: Full-time, permanent We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a 4‑bedded children's residential home supporting three young people in the Carmarthenshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step into a key leadership position and help shape positive outcomes for children and young people. About the Role As Deputy Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the home. Responsibilities include: Leading staff to deliver safe, nurturing and consistent care Supporting the Registered Manager with compliance, safeguarding and day‑to‑day operations Planning and supervising Monday-Friday shifts to maintain high‑quality standards Mentoring, supervising and developing staff in line with organisational expectations Ensuring all care/pathway plans are understood, implemented and regularly reviewed Maintaining accurate, detailed and compliant records, logs and documentation What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you will need: QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential children's setting, including leading shifts A full manual driving licence Strong communication, leadership and decision‑making skills A passion for supporting young people and developing staff teams Must be 21+ due to care regulations Apply Now If you're ready for the next step in your leadership journey, we'd love to hear from you.
