Commercial Viability & Business Case Consultant (Wholly Owned Subsidiary / New Venture) Contract / Interim | Hybrid (UK) We’re recruiting on behalf of a Public Sector client exploring the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary. They’re moving into the next phase: assessing the viability of early thinking on potential services and products, and require external expertise to work alongside internal subject matter experts. Key focus areas include: * Strategic and public value assessment (“why are we doing this?”) * Governance and risk considerations * Building activity-based costing (ABC) models for each proposal to establish true cost base and financial viability * People/resource and skills requirements * Identifying efficiency opportunities to support entry into a commercial market * Readiness assessment and development programme for each area * Customer base analysis and market expansion opportunities * Competitor analysis and competitive advantages/disadvantages You’ll need: * Strong experience delivering commercial viability assessments/business cases * Experience of supporting organisations in the formation of wholly owned subsidiaries * Experience of working in the Public Sector * Advanced costing/financial modelling skills (ABC strongly preferred) * Experience covering governance/risk and operating model considerations * Market/competitor analysis capability and excellent stakeholder engagement To apply: send your CV, availability, and rate/salary expectations.
