We are looking for a Control Panel Wireman to join a growing industrial controls and automation team. This role is hands-on, focusing on wiring, assembling, and testing industrial control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low-voltage control systems and industrial automation components. Key Responsibilities for Control Panel Wireman * Wire and assemble control circuits according to schematics. * Route, terminate, and crimp cables, including lugs and connectors. * Connect VFDs, relays, contactors, and PLC terminals. * Work with PLCs, HMIs, terminal blocks, control transformers, and safety circuits. * Apply knowledge of electrical panel wiring and LV switchgear principles. * Assist with panel build, testing, and commissioning preparation. * Ensure work meets BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and company quality standards. Required Skills & Experience for Control Panel Wireman Essential: * Experience in industrial control panel wiring and assembly. * Ability to work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings. * Experience with LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, relays, and contactors. * Understanding of control circuits and safety systems. * Knowledge of crimping, lugs, cable routing, and terminations. * Electrical training or apprenticeship preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent). * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: * Experience with PLC/HMI installation. * Experience working on industrial automation or instrumentation projects. * Familiarity with international control panel standards.
