JOB TITLE - KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant (KS1 SEND TA) ABOUT THE SCHOOL Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring and dedicated KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School based in North Bristol. The school is known for its supportive staff team and strong focus on inclusion, offering regular CPD opportunities throughout the academic year. Depending on performance, the contract may be extended or become permanent. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location: North Bristol Position: KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant Full-Time: Monday to Friday Day Rate: £90 - £100 per day Hours: 8:20 am - 3:30 pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working in a UK school is mandatory A minimum of 24 months of verifiable, child‑related references is required Experience supporting KS1 learners (Year 1 or Year 2) is desirable Strong experience or interest in Special Educational Needs, including: Autism Speech & Language Needs Additional learning or behavioural needs Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year Strong command of spoken and written English Experience within healthcare or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one Provide two professional, child‑related references covering the last 24 monthsIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up‑to‑date CV.
