Job Title: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Edinburgh (Covering Edinburgh & Surrounding Areas) Salary: Circa £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE & Qualifications) + Overtime + Call-Out + Company Vehicle (Personal Use Allowed) Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer – Facilities / Building Services We are seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team, covering Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. This is a field-based role working across a portfolio of commercial properties including offices, retail units, education sites, and public sector buildings. What’s on Offer * Circa £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience and qualifications) * Paid travel time * Overtime opportunities * Call-out allowance * Company vehicle with personal use allowance * Fuel card * Company pension * Ongoing training and professional development The Role As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas appliances and heating systems * Fault-finding and diagnosing breakdowns * Working on boilers, plant rooms, AHUs, and associated mechanical equipment * Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works * Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations * Completing job reports and compliance documentation accurately * Participating in a call-out rota (where required) Required Qualifications & Experience * Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A) * Proven experience in commercial gas maintenance * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Full UK driving licence * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Desirable: * LPG qualifications * Oil qualifications * Basic electrical or HVAC knowledge * Experience within FM or building services environments Area Covered This is a mobile position covering Edinburgh and surrounding areas, attending a range of commercial sites as part of a structured maintenance programme and reactive support service.
