Experienced Window & Door Fitter

Job Description: We are currently recruiting a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Window & Door Fitter to join our clients dynamic installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of UPVC windows and Composite doors across residential, commercial, and remodelling projects. Your expertise will ensure precise fitment, durability, and aesthetic appeal, contributing to high-quality building standards. Duties: * Travelling across the Midlands & North West areas, completing installation of UPVC Window & Composite Doors. * Drive range is usually within 2hrs from company yard (Majority would be within an hour). * Will have use of company vans to travel from the yard to site. * Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install windows and doors according to specifications. * Install various types of glass units, ensuring secure fitting and proper sealing using caulking techniques. * Perform metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and frame carpentry to prepare openings for UPVC window and composite door installation. * Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. * Conduct heavy lifting of UPVC window units, Composite doors, and related materials while adhering to safety protocols. * Hang doors, install fixtures, locks, hardware, cabinet components, and perform locksmithing tasks as needed. * Read construction schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure proper installation aligned with project plans. * Utilize electrical experience for integrating electronic locks or automated window systems when required. * Maintain a clean work environment by properly caulking joints, sealing gaps, and tidying up after each project phase. * Collaborate with team members on remodelling projects or custom fabrication tasks to meet client specifications. Requirements: * Proven experience in UPVC Window Installation - Minimum 5 years experience. * Proven experience in installing Composite Doors - Minimum 5 years experience. * Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery essential for precise work. * Ability to lift heavy materials safely and effectively throughout the workday. * Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems related to windows and doors. * Familiarity with remodelling processes, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinetry installation is preferred. * Electrical experience or locksmithing skills are advantageous but not mandatory. * Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills is required. * Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail to ensure quality craftsmanship. * Holding a valid MTC Card would be beneficial. * Valid certifications & Qualifications in Window & Door fitting or relevant technical training are highly desirable (Level 2 or above). * Must have a valid UK Driving license & own vehicle.
