This is an opportunity to join a leading CNC machine tool manufacturer as an Applications Engineer, using your mill/turn programming skills to support customers, solve machining challenges, and deliver hands‑on technical expertise. Full applications training is provided. What you’ll be doing Providing machining support and technical guidance to customers and internal teams Planning and delivering cutting trials, demonstrations, and presentations Running customer training on CNC controls and CAM software Representing the business at UK and international exhibitions Responding to technical queries and providing on‑site support Supporting project handovers with sales and engineering teams Keeping up to date with tooling, machining methods, and measurement technologies What you need Strong CNC mill/turn programming and setting experience Confidence using CAD/CAM Background in subcontract machining or precision engineering Good communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is desirable but not essential What’s on offer £36,000–£42,000 (experience dependent) Door‑to‑door pay with OTE around £50,000 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays 8% employer pension contribution Private medical insurance Life assurance (4× salary) Sick pay scheme Paid overtime (enhanced weekday, weekend, and Sunday rates) Free parking, uniform provided, subsidised canteen Monday to Friday, 08:15–16:30 This is an excellent chance for an experienced CNC Programmer to step into a customer‑facing applications role with full training, long‑term development, and strong earning potential.
