M&E Site Manager

Job Description: Role: M&E Site Manager Location: Nationwide (travel required) Project Type: Retail Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per year + package Overview We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical works on retail refurbishment projects across the UK. Experience working on Marks & Spencer (M&S) projects is highly advantageous due to the specific compliance requirements and operational standards involved. The successful candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day site coordination, subcontractor supervision, programme management, and ensuring health & safety compliance on fast‑paced M&E packages. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily M&E site operations and ensure works run to programme. * Coordinate subcontractors and ensure high‑quality delivery across mechanical and electrical disciplines. * Conduct site inspections and enforce all H&S procedures. * Liaise with the project team, main contractor, and client representatives. * Manage documentation including RAMS, permits to work, progress reports, and toolbox talks. * Ensure adherence to M&S standards, processes, compliance systems, and technical requirements. * Oversee testing, commissioning, and smooth handover. Required Qualifications & Experience * Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager on retail or commercial fit‑out projects. * M&S project experience strongly preferred. * Strong technical understanding of M&E installations. * Ability to manage live environments and fast‑track programmes. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. Mandatory Certifications * CSCS Card * SMSTS * First Aid at Work Desirable / Bonus Skills * M&S Simple Compliance qualification * Experience coordinating M&E works in live retail environments * Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, reporting systems, etc.) Additional Details * Nationwide travel is required depending on project locations. * Package may include: vehicle/allowance, expenses, pension, holidays, and other benefits (depending on employer)
