HVAC Business Development Manager


Are you a Business Development Manager with a proven background in winning new business and developing long-term client relationships within HVAC or building services? You’ll be responsible for opening doors, building relationships and securing new maintenance, service and project opportunities across complex, high-value environments. You’ll be joining a technically respected mechanical services contractor known for delivering across healthcare, research facilities, education estates and complex commercial environments — particularly where compliance, operational continuity and engineering credibility matter. What’s on offer * Up to £55,000 basic salary * Uncapped commission / performance bonus linked to secured business * Company car or car allowance * Phone, laptop and expenses provided * Company pension scheme * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Clear opportunity to progress into senior commercial leadership as the business expands The role You’ll focus on originating and converting new client opportunities across: * HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical maintenance contracts * Lifecycle plant replacement and upgrade programmes * Compliance-driven remedial and statutory works * Capital projects, refurbishments and system improvements You will: * Identify and develop new client relationships across London & Home Counties * Engage with estates teams, consultants, facilities managers, developers and asset owners * Secure early-stage engagement and influence project scopes/specifications * Build and manage a qualified pipeline from first contact through to contract award * Work closely with estimating, engineering and operations teams to develop compliant, deliverable solutions * Represent the business professionally at meetings, events and client briefings * Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting and market intelligence What we’re looking for * Proven business development or technical sales experience within HVAC, Refrigeration, mechanical, building services or FM environments * Strong consultative sales approach — able to uncover needs and shape solutions * Comfortable dealing with technically complex and operationally sensitive environments (healthcare, labs, live estates etc.) * Ability to engage confidently with estates teams, engineers, consultants and senior stakeholders * Commercial awareness around scope, access constraints, compliance and project risk Why this opportunity stands out… * A true new-business role, not account farming * Backing from a strong engineering and delivery team * Access to complex, high-value estates and long-term programmes * The chance to shape a region and build a pipeline from scratch * A clear pathway into senior commercial leadership Interested?
