Estimator - Residential Developer 📍 Yorkshire 💰 Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package 🏗️ New Build Housing We are working with a well-established regional housebuilder with a strong land bank and secured pipeline across Yorkshire. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is a key role within the business, supporting land acquisition and pre-construction by producing accurate and commercially sound cost appraisals. The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and viability appraisals for new residential developments. Your duties will include: Preparing detailed cost plans from concept through to planning stage Producing land appraisals and viability assessments Analysing drawings, specifications, and technical information Liaising with land, technical, and commercial teams Value engineering and risk analysis Updating build cost databases and benchmarking You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are commercially viable from the outset. About You Proven experience as an Estimator within residential housing Strong knowledge of build costs across traditional and timber frame construction Experience working on multi-plot developments Commercially minded with strong analytical skills Comfortable working cross-functionally with land and technical teams This would suit an experienced Estimator looking for more influence in early-stage decision making, or a Senior QS with strong pre-construction exposure looking to transition into estimating.
