Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: London Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Package I am currently working with a well-established and financially secure main contractor based in London that has recently secured a strong pipeline of new construction projects through successful tenders. Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for your projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams to ensure financial performance is maximised and contractual risk is effectively managed. Key responsibilities include: Managing project budgets and cost reporting Leading subcontractor procurement and negotiations Preparing and submitting valuations and variations Managing subcontractor accounts and payments Producing monthly CVRs and financial reports Identifying and mitigating commercial risks Overseeing final accounts Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor ready to step up Strong main contractor background Experience managing construction projects from inception to completion Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred) What’s on Offer £65,000 – £75,000 salary (dependent on experience) Competitive benefits package Secure pipeline of newly awarded projects Long-term stability within a growing business Clear progression opportunities This role would suit a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking stability, strong leadership, and the opportunity to take ownership of projects within a thriving contractor.
