Electronics Engineer | Cambridge | £40,000 - £50,000 Our client is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle — from early design verification through to production support and field investigations. You will play a key role in ensuring new PCB designs meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations before and after release to manufacture. The Role: +Develop and execute verification test plans for new electronic designs. +Define test requirements to maximise PCB assembly coverage and validate against specifications. +Design, build, and document custom test equipment for engineering and production use. +Diagnose faults to component level across complex electronic assemblies. +Lead structured root cause investigations for recurring or production-related failures. Key Skills and Experience: +HNC (or higher) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. +Minimum 3 years’ experience within a product development and/or manufacturing environment. +Strong ability to interpret schematics and understand functional circuit blocks. +Experience fault-finding to component level and producing structured investigation reports (e.g., 8D or similar). +Solid grounding in analogue, digital, embedded, and power electronics. +Proficient with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators, etc.).
