Location: Birmingham Salary: £55,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits Summary: Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading and developing the company's Health & Safety strategy across logistics and automated operational environments. You will ensure full compliance with UK legislation while driving continuous improvement across the site. You must have experience of working in an automated site and ideally have start up experience. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities across the Birmingham operation Develop, implement and continuously improve H&S policies, procedures and systems Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and industry standards Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions Drive a positive safety culture through training, coaching and leadership engagement Work closely with operations and engineering teams within automated environments Prepare reports and present performance data to senior stakeholders Key Skills/Experience: Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within logistics, warehousing, distribution or manufacturing Essential: Experience working in automated environments (e.g. conveyors, robotics, automated picking systems) Ideally experience within a start-up or high-growth environment NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels Hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focusedProcessing Your Data Bis Henderson Recruitment is a leading provider of recruitment, interim management and consultancy services to the supply chain and logistics industry.
