Job Role: Senior Programme Manager Location: South West (Hybrid Working Available) Contract Type: 18-24 Month Contract About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead a large-scale capital delivery programme within the UK water sector. This is a high-profile leadership position responsible for overseeing a complex portfolio of infrastructure projects, each valued between £2m-£5m, across water and wastewater networks. Reporting directly into executive leadership, you will be accountable for programme performance, governance, commercial outcomes, and team leadership. This role is viewed as a strategic appointment and will play a critical part in driving delivery excellence across people, projects, and assets. Key responsibilities include: Leading and overseeing a large multi-project capital programme Managing and developing a team of Programme and Project Managers Driving fiscal performance, including budget management and commercial control Ensuring robust programme governance and PMO oversight Providing accurate forecasting, reporting, and executive-level updates Managing NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance Overseeing risk management, change control, and performance optimisation Engaging effectively with senior stakeholders and delivery partners About you: Extensive experience delivering capital programmes within the water and wastewater sector Proven leadership capability managing large project teams Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and contractual administration Experience operating within structured PMO environments Confident reporting at senior/executive level Ability to drive performance across complex, multi-stakeholder programmes Reach out to Charlie Knight @ Advance TRS to find out more about this exciting opportunity and take the next step in your career.
