Estimator Location: Warrington (Full-Time Office Based) Sector: Main Contractor - Retail Fit Out Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE) The Company Our client is a growing and well-established main contractor based in Warrington, delivering fast-paced retail fit out projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a high volume of incoming enquiries, the business continues to expand and works with several notable high street retail brands. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a dedicated Estimator to streamline and strengthen their pre-construction function. The Role This is a newly created role due to business growth. Currently, the commercial team manages estimating from start to finish alongside their Quantity Surveying responsibilities. The company is now looking to introduce a specialist Estimator to create a more efficient, structured, and scalable pre-construction process. The Estimator will report directly to the Managing QS and play a key role in pricing and securing new projects. This is a full-time, office-based position in Warrington. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for retail fit out projects Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Produce accurate take-offs and build-ups Issue and manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries Evaluate subcontractor quotations and level comparisons Assist in developing a more streamlined and structured estimating process Work closely with the commercial and operational teams during tender stage Support handover of secured projects to the delivery team Systems & Software Currently using Excel for estimating Open to implementing specialist estimating software (e.g. Conquest or CostX) depending on candidate experience and business needs Opportunity to influence and shape the estimating function as the company grows Candidate Requirements Essential: Experience as an Estimator within retail fit out or retail construction Strong understanding of fast-track project environments Ability to price projects independently from enquiry through to submission Commercially aware with strong numerical and analytical skills Confident working in a growing business environment Desirable: Experience within high street retail fit out Background in general retail construction or Facilities Management (FM) considered Experience using estimating software such as Conquest or CostX What's on Offer Salary up to £65,000 for the right candidate Opportunity to shape and build a dedicated estimating function Strong pipeline of work with well-known high street brands Growing, ambitious business with long-term stability Direct reporting line to senior leadership
