We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading bulk liquid storage and logistics business at its Hull terminal. This is a key role within the maintenance team, supporting safe and efficient operations across the site, with occasional travel to other group locations. The Role You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support across site plant and equipment. Your work will include: Planned preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, boilers and associated plant Reactive maintenance and breakdown response Annual boiler strip-downs and overhauls Preparing plant for statutory inspections and liaising with inspectors Supporting maintenance projects and contractor works Working collaboratively with operations to ensure smooth handling of customer products Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all timesThis is a varied, practical role where your initiative, technical skill and problem-solving ability will be valued daily Requirements: Time-served mechanical engineering apprenticeship in a recognised discipline Strong working knowledge of pumps, boilers, steam systems and plant equipment Experience in both planned and reactive maintenance Confident communicator, comfortable working with engineers and operational teams A proactive, safety-first mindsetExperience within industrial, terminal, tank farm, chemical, oil & gas, or heavy engineering environments would be advantageous.
