Preconstruction Manager

Preconstruction Manager * Based in London EC2 (city) * Leading specialist cut & carve/ * £90k to £100k This growing specialist contractor takes on complex inner city projects - enabling works, cut & carve, structural alterations - with project values up to £30m. As Preconstruction Manager, you'll report directly into the Preconstruction/Technical lead and act as the bridge between the commercial, planning, and operations teams, identifying appropriate project opportunities to secure whilst building strong external relationships. You’ll shape strategies and lead bids to deliver sharp, client-ready submissions. You’ll also drive team development, lead training efforts, and represent the company with impact in all external communications. Brief duties: * Work in line with preconstruction strategy to achieve business goals * Oversee bid submissions; accurate, competitive, and compliant * Build strong links with clients, subcontractors and internal teams * Flag and address risks across design, cost, and delivery early * Drive smart, efficient solutions without compromising quality * Mentor and develop junior members of the precon team * Embed industry best practices, digital tools, and sustainable methods About you: * Strong background in preconstruction, estimating, bids, or planning (construction/civils) * Proven leadership on complex projects * Solid knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and regulations * Commercially savvy with a track record in winning profitable work * Calm under pressure; handles tight deadlines and multiple priorities * Skilled in preconstruction software and planning tools * Experience with third-party interfaces during preconstruction * Good understanding of cut & carve, demolition, façade retention etc * Familiar with complex structures and modern construction techniques With a strong confirmed order book and an exciting strategic growth plan, it's an excellent time to join this contractor and make your mark
