Occupational Hygienist Oxfordshire | Full-time | Permanent £27,000 - £35,000 DOE + benefits + profit share An employee-owned environmental consultancy is expanding its Oxfordshire team and is seeking an early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Consultant. About the company The consultancy provides specialist occupational hygiene and environmental monitoring services across the UK, including: Workplace exposure monitoring Indoor air quality assessments Dust and airborne contaminant monitoring Technical consultancy support Bespoke equipment design Laboratory testing and analysis As an employee-owned organisation, the company promotes shared success, technical excellence, and teamwork - supported by a profit-sharing model. The role This is a practical, hands-on position where you'll work closely with experienced consultants to develop both technical expertise and client-facing skills. Key responsibilities include: Conducting occupational exposure assessments (dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases and airborne contaminants) Analysing monitoring data and producing clear technical reports Supporting surveys such as noise monitoring and LEV assessments (training provided) Assisting with client enquiries, quotations and business development The role is primarily office-based with regular UK site work. Hybrid working is available following initial training. What we're looking for Essential Minimum 1 year's experience in occupational/industrial hygiene Experience monitoring airborne contaminants and noise Strong technical reporting skills Confident with Word and Excel Ability to interpret and manage large datasets Knowledge of COSHH, EH40 and MDHS guidance Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK Desirable BOHS membership Relevant degree (Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or similar) Knowledge of IAQ frameworks (e.g. BREEAM) LEV testing experience Experience supporting quotations or commercial enquiries Comfortable in client-facing situations Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays Benefits Employee ownership + profit share Support for professional memberships (BOHS, IES, IAQM) 7% employer pension contribution Private medical and dental insurance Company vehicle scheme (subject to availability) Ongoing training and development UK travel with occasional overseas opportunities 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Apply To apply or learn more, contact Abi King at Penguin Recruitment
