A varied role developing novel FPGA designs for defence of the realm This Cambridge-based company excels in developing advanced defence technologies using a highly creative and collaborative multidisciplinary approach. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled Consultant FPGA Engineer to join their team of top-tier scientists and engineers. In this role, you’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle from initial concepts through design and development to handover of the finished product to the customer. This is a varied role, working on a wide range of projects with the common theme being protecting Britain from its adversaries. Essential skills and attributes: * A 1st or 2.1 degree in electronics or similarly applicable subject from a leading university * Substantial design and implementation experience in FPGA firmware development with VHDL or Verilog, ideally within the context of DSP * Skills with tools such as Vivado or Quartus * Eligibility for UK security clearance and full existing UK work permission. Expertise in any of the following would be useful but not essential: system modelling with MATLAB or Simulink, embedded software engineering with C or C++ on Linux, SDR or Radar, C++ and Linux expertise.
