This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of Year 7 classes, providing high-quality instruction and numeracy support during the critical transition year. This role starts immediately after the February half-term and will run until the end of the academic year. Key Responsibilities Classroom Instruction: Lead and facilitate learning for Key Stage 3 (KS3) Maths classes, with a primary focus on Year 7. Numeracy Intervention: Deliver targeted Small Group Interventions to close attainment gaps in core numeracy. Curriculum Support: Assist the Head of Maths in developing engaging resources that align with the national curriculum. Classroom Management: Develop professional behaviour management techniques in a supportive, secondary school environment. Mentorship: Serve as a positive academic role model for students, encouraging a "Maths-positive" culture. Requirements Education: A Degree in Mathematics (or a highly related STEM subject). Aspirations: A genuine desire to progress into Secondary Teaching. Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts for 11-12-year-olds.
