Fleet Maintenance Planner Location: Lichfield Salary: £35,000 per annum Hours: 45 per week Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm On‑Call: 1 night in every 10 We are seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Maintenance Planner to join our team based in Lichfield. The company is a family ran business that has been established for over 100 years, they are one of the best within industry. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling routine maintenance, inspections, and MOTs, as well as managing reactive repair work. This includes liaising with drivers, workshops, and external suppliers to keep vehicle downtime to an absolute minimum. A key part of the position involves maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring that all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements. You will also monitor fleet performance and highlight any issues that could affect availability or operations. The role includes participation in an on‑call rota, covering one night in every ten, to support urgent or out‑of‑hours maintenance needs. About You You will ideally have experience in fleet maintenance planning, transport operations, or a similar role. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, and excellent communication are essential. Knowledge of HGV/LCV compliance requirements and familiarity with fleet or maintenance systems would be beneficial.
