House Leader / Senior Support Worker / Team Leader

We are working with a respected, low-turnover supported living organisation seeking a House Leader to join their team in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Senior Support Worker or Team Leader looking to progress within a supportive, values-driven environment. You’ll be leading a small 4 bed service supporting adults with mental health needs, psychiatric backgrounds, and behaviours that may challenge. The organisation prides itself on a strong, positive working culture and is committed to staff development, consistency and best practice. About the Role As House Leader, you will: * Lead by example, supporting and supervising support staff to maintain high standards * Oversee the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the home * Use a person-centred approach to promote independence, personal growth and meaningful decision-making for residents * Liaise with external professionals, local authority contacts and social care coordinators * Ensure all processes, policies and safeguarding standards are followed * Organise tasks within the home, including daily operations, maintenance arrangements and resident support * Complete care plans, risk assessments, digital records and incident reporting to required standards * Provide thorough handovers and ensure consistent communication across the team * Investigate and respond to significant events with professionalism and attention to detail * Support the onboarding of new residents and staff * Work closely with the management team on audits, updates and service improvements * Participate in training, team meetings and ongoing development initiatives Skills & Experience Needed * Experience in care or supported living settings * Previous supervisory or team-leading experience * Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities * IT literacy, including use of digital care systems * Excellent communication skills with residents, colleagues and external professionals * Compassion, patience and the ability to support individuals with complex mental health needs * A logical, consistent and process-driven work approach * A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and best practice What’s on Offer * A stable working environment with low staff turnover * Genuine career progression as the organisation continues to grow * Supportive management and ongoing training opportunities * A role where your leadership directly contributes to resident wellbeing and service quality If you’re motivated, organised and passionate about delivering high-quality support, we’d love to hear from you.
