We're hiring a Transport Manager to lead a large, busy operation for a major food distribution business in Manchester, running a fleet of circa 100 vehicles. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to motivate, support and develop your team will directly impact service levels and operational success. The Role Lead, inspire and develop a large team of drivers and transport colleagues Create a high-performance culture focused on service, teamwork and accountability Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance and absence Coach and support frontline managers and drivers to deliver their best Drive KPIs across service, efficiency and cost control Oversee route planning and resource allocation to maximise productivity Handle investigations, performance conversations and incident management professionally Maintain strong operational standards across the fleet This is a fast-moving environment that requires visible leadership, strong decision-making and the confidence to manage change.
