Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Multi-skilled Engineer on a 3 Month Contract, based in London. Role Summary The Multi-Skilled Engineer is responsible for supporting the shift leader, to ensure the safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of all mechanical, electrical, and building services within the estate, including support for the mobilisation activities for expansion to a new build. Compliance & Documentation Ensure completion of statutory and critical maintenance tasks. Support the shift leader in the Management of documentation including PTW, RAMS checks, shift logs(where applicable), L8 tasks, and support audits from internal and external parties, also client representatives Stakeholder & Client Service Act as point of contact (with shift leader) for Facilities, Security Control Room, hospitality, and floor support teams. Ensure minimal disruption to legal operations and maintain strong professional communication Mobilisation & Transition to New Building Support the Technical Compliance Manager (TCM) and Technical Project Manager (TPM) with the mobilisation, technical set-up, and engineering readiness for the new building. Participate in transition planning, commissioning support, validation of asset data, PPM structuring, and physical move coordination. Provide on-site presence and operational input during the migration to ensure seamless integration into the existing estate Complexity: • Assist with the day-to-day operation including subcontractors where required. • To ensure all teams PPM and repairs are carried out as necessary in line with Contract • To ensure all reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet the SLA assigned. • Shift Engineers to assist Shift leaders with responding to incidents, providing critical support on building incidents. • Required to safely operate and maintain the HVAC, HV, L8, Mechanical and Electrical systems and associated equipment on site in line with current legislation. • To maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives and work in a manner which ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between the client and the customer is delivered with the requisite levels of professionalism • Responsible for second line review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, Including Contractors • Supervision of specialist contractors, review RAMS, ensure safe working, and verify completion reports • Responsible for obtaining Permits to work • Adhere to Safe systems of work, this includes harness, lanyards, steps and tool checks • Making sure team meetings are being held daily s to ensure PPM completion. • Ensuring all logbooks are being kept up to date, and TBT are being done monthly. • Ordering of parts for any reactive or planned works. • Quoted Works - Provide quotations to the customer for chargeable works. • Provide technical support to the customer on all M&E aspects. • Having a flexible attitude with a “can do” approach and who is prepared to work outside their skill base to provide a customer-based service. • You will be required to do overtime when required for holiday and sickness cover Duties • Building Management System. • Control system • Air conditioning systems • Chillers – wet and dry systems • Pressure vessels • Air Handling Units • Heating systems • Pumps • Humidifiers • Sprinkler Systems • Single phase and three phase motors • Emergency lighting (Recording of Testing) • Fire and life safety systems (Recording of Testing) • Plumbing and Sanitary ware • Water Treatment including cooling towers and pool plant operation • Maintenance and recording of all PPM tasks (statutory or otherwise) via paperwork and CAFM Requirements • IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable) • Team working experience. Must have the balanced ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances. • C&G BS 7671 or equivalent • HVAP qualification • Mechanical qualifications desirable • Confined space qualification desirable • Inspection and Testing 2391 desirable • Time served buildings engineer with bias electrical • Experience working on various mechanical systems (LTHW/CHWS/BCWS). • Experience on L8 ACOP • Must be time served electrical tradesman or by recognised equivalent certification by a recognized body. • IOSH Managing safely or similar health and safety course • Knowledge of the Permit to Work system & experience issuing PTW • Proficient level of IT skills • Ability to effectively work under pressure • Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions • Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing • Confident and positive • Reliable • Knowledge of Integrated CAFM systems and handheld PDA’s. • Desired experience with planon and planon mobile Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
