Role: Payroll Manager Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Permanent | Full-Time | Benefits We are seeking an experienced Pay and Benefits Manager to join a dynamic and customer-focused organisation. The Role As Pay and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of payroll and benefits processes, while driving continuous improvement across systems and procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining high service standards, managing expectations, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement, enhancing performance, reducing waste, and improving quality across payroll operations. Key Responsibilities * Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance * Oversee tax and National Insurance calculations, including overpayments * Ensure payroll systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date information * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality * Support and manage internal stakeholder expectations through clear communication * Provide technical payroll expertise and resolve complex queries using a structured problem-solving approach * Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and internal policies * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes * Maintain accurate documentation and records relevant to the role To be successful in this role, you will have: * Previous experience within a payroll environment * Strong knowledge of UK tax and National Insurance regulations * Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines * High attention to detail and strong analytical skills * A structured and solutions-focused approach to problem solving * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English * Evidence of right to work in the UK We are looking for someone who: * Is technically competent and commercially aware * Strives to improve performance, quality, and efficiency * Communicates clearly and manages expectations effectively * Takes ownership and remains positive under pressure * Promotes a culture of respect, care, and collaboration * Ideally a Payroll qualification, but not essential Why Apply?
