Lead Hardware Engineer

Lead Hardware Engineer Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid Competitive Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits A leading UK technology company specialising in advanced imaging and high-performance electronics is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to take ownership of complex, high-speed hardware designs. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging products and seeing designs through from concept to production. The Role You will lead the development of FPGA-centric, high-speed electronic systems used in specialist imaging and industrial applications. Working closely with firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams, you will deliver robust, production-ready hardware. Key responsibilities include: * Leading complex hardware design projects from concept to production * Designing high-speed digital schematics (up to 50 Gbps) * Defining system and subsystem architectures * Chairing formal design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) * Supporting verification, validation, and compliance * Evaluating and introducing new technologies * Producing clear technical documentation About You You will be an experienced electronics engineer with a strong background in high-speed digital design.
