What You'll Be Doing As a Support Technician, you'll be at the heart of plant operations - keeping everything running safely, efficiently and compliantly. Your responsibilities will include: Operating plant systems including boilers, steam systems, turbines, waste handling, ash handling, conveyors and water treatment Monitoring and controlling operations via Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Supporting environmental compliance and safety inspections Carrying out front-line maintenance, fault finding and equipment rectification Assisting with plant shutdowns, isolations and safe systems of work Supporting emergency response as a trained First Aider and Fire Marshall Contributing to investigations, improvements and corrective actions Maintaining exceptional housekeeping and plant reliability standardsThis is a rotating shift role - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being trusted to make safe, effective decisions. Who We're Looking For You're technically capable. Safety-focused. Calm under pressure. And you take pride in doing the job properly. You'll ideally have: A broad technical background in plant operations or maintenance Around 2 years' experience in large boilers, rotating plant, or similar process environments Experience with DCS/SCADA systems (advantageous) Strong understanding of safe systems of work and risk assessments Ability to perform front-line maintenance NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a technical/science discipline (preferred) IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to complete) Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CMMS systems etc.) The resilience and initiative to work independently Flexibility to work shifts and respond to operational demandsMost importantly: you're reliable, team-oriented and committed to high standards.
