CLC, part of Axis CLC, is a national property maintenance and refurbishment contractor with a turnover of £250m and a workforce of around 1,000 people across the UK. We operate across social housing, defence, healthcare, education, hotel & leisure and commercial sectors, delivering compliant, high-quality building safety and refurbishment services. We are looking for an experienced Fire Stopping Operative to join our Fire Safety team, delivering compliant fire stopping works across occupied and live environments. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and remediation of fire stopping systems across a range of sites, including social housing, MOD, healthcare and education properties. This role involves both team-based and lone working across the East Anglia region. What You’ll Be Doing Installing fire stopping systems in line with manufacturer guidance, approved details and best practice Carrying out works including penetrations, linear gaps, cavity barriers, pipe collars and wraps, fire-rated bulkheads, flexible walls and ceilings Completing works in compliance with FIRAS / BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations Troubleshooting non-compliant installations and rectifying defects to compliant standards Accurately recording works using fire evidence and quality assurance system Working safely within occupied buildings, maintaining professionalism at all times Delivering work across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire About You As a Fire Stopping Operative you will have: Essential: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire stopping and/or fire door installation and maintenance Strong understanding of manufacturer standard details and compliant installation practices Experience using fire evidence or audit apps (e.g. PlanRadar, Bolster, CCS Systems, Site Audit Pro) - desirable, training provided A strong interest in fire safety and a willingness to develop technical knowledge A professional, polite and flexible approach to work Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team A full UK driving licence Your own hand tools What We Offer Starting salary: £40,560 per annum 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company vehicle and fuel card (where applicable) iPad and uniform provided Life insurance FIRAS and BM TRADA registration and assessments Long-term stability within a growing fire safety division An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
