Transport Coordinator Ideally, previous experience in transport, logistics, or courier operations would be preferred, but not essential. My client offers cost-effective, and reliable logistics solutions. Monday – Friday – 8AM – 4.30PM The Transport Coodinator will manage their Same Day courier delivery service. Responsible for Coordinating and managing same-day delivery operations to ensure urgent consignments are collected and delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities - Transport Coordinator * Plan, coordinate, and control same-day deliveries from booking to completion * Allocate jobs to drivers and subcontractors efficiently * Monitor deliveries in real time and proactively resolve issues or delays * Communicate with customers regarding collections, deliveries, and ETA updates * Ensure all delivery details are accurate and compliant with company procedures * Liaise with drivers regarding routes, documentation, and delivery requirements * Update transport management systems with job status and delivery confirmations * Handle urgent requests and last-minute changes calmly and effectively * Ensure high levels of customer service at all times * Escalate operational issues to management when necessary Skills & Experience; Transport Coordinator * Previous experience in transport, logistics, or courier operations preferred * Strong organisational and multitasking skills * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Confident using transport management systems and Microsoft Office * Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Personal Attributes * Calm and professional under pressure * Proactive and solution-focused * Reliable, flexible, and adaptable * Customer-focused approach
