Senior Building Surveyor

East London (Poplar office & site-based) 4 days site/office | 1 day working from home We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Disrepair Surveyor to join our team, covering East London. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a confident professional who can manage cases independently from start to finish. The Role You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of disrepair and adaptation referrals, overseeing works through the full lifecycle — from initial inspection to post-completion inspection. Key responsibilities include: * Managing your own diary across site visits and the Poplar office (4 days per week) * Working from home 1 day per week * Picking up cases and seeing them through from start to finish * Fully understanding and managing the disrepair process * Assessing properties and specifying required works * Commissioning works and overseeing contractors on site * Ensuring cases are taken through to post-completion inspection * Liaising confidently and assertively with contractors and stakeholders * Handling a mix of disrepair cases and adaptation referrals About You You will be a proactive, organised surveyor with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to manage contractors and cases independently.
