Engineering Estimator

Engineering Estimator Location: Braintree Job Type: Full time Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Engineering Estimator for our client in Braintree. Main Purpose of the Role * Creation of quotations via the development of customers drawings and CAD data, ranging from single sheet metal components to full multi-level assemblies * Re-costing and updating of pricing for all on-going legacy production of work as required * Data input and analysis to a production management and planning system (MRP) * Some purchasing duties for raw materials, fasteners, fittings and general engineering consumables * Communicating requirements to subcontractors regarding finishing and machining needs * Liaise with customers regarding products Design for Manufacture issues and identifying cost reduction potentials * General CAD 2D drawing creation and interrogation (3D not essential) Experience, Skills & Qualifications * General engineering / fine limit sheet metalwork background * Good understanding of engineering drawing conventions and control * Experience / knowledge of CNC production processes and methods * Knowledge of finishing processes, powder coat/ paint and electroplating * Good communication skills to clearly discuss with customers any technical issues, product design or problem solving Working Pattern & Benefits * Benefits: * Company pension * On-site parking * Salary: From £38,000 Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
