Primary School Teaching Assistant  Location: Grimsby - (Keelby, New Waltham, Humberston and Immingham) Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time Contract: Long-term, Short-term, ongoing Employer: Smile Education About the Role Smile Education is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Grimsby. This is a full-time opportunity starting ASAP, supporting pupils primarily in KS1 and KS2. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support, helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment and meeting the individual needs of pupils. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and looking to build experience within a primary school setting. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities Assist pupils with learning tasks and encourage engagement Prepare classroom resources and learning materials Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe learning environment Monitor and record pupil progress as directed Support whole-class teaching as well as small group interventionsRequirements Previous experience working in a school or with children (desirable) A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic approach Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are preferred but not essentialWhat’s on Offer Full-time, long-term position Immediate start available Supportive and friendly school environment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Competitive pay rateHow to Apply If you’re interested in this opportunity, please contact Smile Education today to submit your CV and register your interest.
