Factory Operative

T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Operatives to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained. Factory Operative Job Details & Benefits; * Monday–Thursday 6:00–15:30 & Fridays 6:00–10:00 (with Friday overtime mandatory when required) * Starting salary £28,080 with the opportunity to rise to £33,280 with training sign off. * Weekly pay * Permanent role after 12 weeks * Additional training offered on forklift, loading shovel etc with the opportunity of progressing within the Company * Holidays-22 days + bank holidays when permanent increasing to 25 days in length of service * Life assurance when permanent * Company pension scheme * Team building exercises / perks * Free parking As a Factory Operative you could be working across a number of departments where duties vary dependant on the area, however, could include the following; * Cutting sheets of metal * Weighing and labelling products * Stacking products onto pallets manually * Performing machine checks * Quality checking the products * Forklift operation – training is provided * Working outside on a he yard loading scrap metal using JCB shovel * Using overhead crane * Working to and ensure targets/deadlines are met * Adhere to H&S within the workplace * Maintain a clean and tidy working environment Factory Operative Person Specification; * No beards (due to half-face mask use) * Blood test is required quarterly due to the nature of products handles * Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product * Happy to stand for the duration of your shift & complete repetitive duties * A valid FLT licence is desirable however not essential as training is available if interested If you are interested in a new opportunity and would like to be considered for this role, then please get in touch with T&K Associates today
