Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 (DOE) Location: Barnet, North London (Hybrid - 3 days on‑site) Hours: 37.5 per week Contract: Full‑time Reports to: Head of Philanthropy If you're motivated by meaningful work and excited by the idea of helping to grow a high‑performing Philanthropy function, this could be the perfect next step in your fundraising career. I'm looking to speak with an experienced Grants, Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager who thrives on building warm, lasting relationships with funders and who feels energised by the challenge of securing significant gifts that directly impact children and families facing incredibly tough circumstances. In this role, you'll take ownership of a strong and well‑established portfolio, while driving forward new opportunities and shaping the future of a key income stream. You'll work closely with a supportive, ambitious Philanthropy team, manage a skilled Philanthropy Officer and collaborate with colleagues across fundraising, care services and communications to bring powerful stories to life. What you'll be doing Building and stewarding meaningful relationships with a portfolio of grant makers. Leading on high‑quality, tailored funding applications, including medium and large Trusts. Creating strong, compelling cases for support that reflect the real impact of the services delivered. Managing and mentoring a Philanthropy Officer to help elevate the Trusts programme further. Working cross‑team to gather information, develop proposals and report back to funders with accuracy and warmth. Helping shape strategy and pipeline development to ensure income targets are met and exceeded. Representing the organisation externally with confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism. Who I'd love to hear from You'll be an eloquent communicator with a natural ability to build rapport and inspire confidence. You understand how to take funders on a journey and you enjoy doing it. You'll bring: A strong track record of securing significant income from Trusts & Foundations. Experience developing and managing a pipeline of prospects. The ability to think critically, creatively and strategically. Excellent writing skills and real attention to detail. Confidence presenting to funders in both one‑to‑one and group settings. Experience managing or supporting team members (or a clear understanding of what great line management looks like). A collaborative, positive and proactive approach.
