Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home Location: March, Peterborough Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Hours: Full-time (including on-call responsibilities) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead our Children’s Residential Home in March, Peterborough. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the home delivers high-quality, child-centred care in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. You will provide strong, inspirational leadership to the staff team while creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive. Key Responsibilities * Overall leadership and management of the children’s residential home * Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements * Register with Ofsted (or already be registered) as the home’s Registered Manager * Lead, develop, and supervise the staff team, fostering a positive and accountable culture * Ensure robust safeguarding practices and safer recruitment processes * Oversee care planning, risk management, behaviour support, and outcomes for children * Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively * Build strong professional relationships with local authorities, placing teams, families, and external professionals * Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, striving for positive outcomes * Promote continuous improvement across the service What We’re Looking For * Significant management experience within a children’s residential setting * Proven knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted frameworks * Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up * Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills * A child-focused, trauma-informed approach to care * Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (essential) * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare * Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties What We Offer * Competitive salary * Supportive senior leadership and operational backing * Opportunities for professional development and progression * Autonomy to lead and shape a high-quality service * A values-led organisation focused on positive outcomes for children Safeguarding Statement This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references, and all required safer recruitment checks.
