We are looking for an experienced and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist civil engineering and public realm contracting team. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial project delivery, working closely with site teams and the Commercial Manager to ensure robust cost control, accurate reporting, and commercial performance across a range of infrastructure, landscaping, and streetscape projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review and manage site information, quotations, and cost validations throughout the project lifecycle. Provide accurate cost forecasting and feed up-to-date commercial information to the Commercial Manager. Monitor and report on variations, subcontractor quotations, and change control. Manage and maintain site records, cost capture, and commercial documentation. Support procurement activities including subcontractor and supplier engagement. Assist in contractual administration, valuation of interim applications, and settlements. Work collaboratively with project teams, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability across commercial and site responsibilities. Help resolve commercial issues quickly and constructively to support project delivery. Required Experience & Skills Strong experience in quantity surveying or commercial roles within civil engineering or construction. Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial principles. Competent handling of site records, quotations, validations, and feeding cost information to senior commercial management. Solid civil engineering background; experience in public realm works desirable but not essential. Flexible approach to work: willing to assist across functions and support teams beyond strict job boundaries.
