Business Development Manager Business & Industry** Location: Hybrid Hours: 40 per week Contract Type: Permanent My client is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the Business & Industry sector. This role is integral to achieving commercial targets and expanding their presence within a diverse portfolio of corporate and industrial environments. Working as part of a collaborative sales function, the successful candidate will engage in multiple large opportunities while independently managing and converting their own opportunities of mid‑sized prospects. Strong relationship‑building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to craft compelling FM solutions will be key to success. Role Overview This is a hybrid role with regular travel across the UK, so flexibility and a full UK driving licence are essential. My client is particularly interested in individuals with a proven background in Facilities Management business development, ideally within Business & Industry, and a strong track record of securing new business through innovative, customer‑focused approaches. Key Responsibilities * Support the delivery of top‑line sales targets across the Business & Industry sector. * Assist in shaping and delivering sales strategies aligned with national commercial objectives. * Identify target markets, geographies, and key accounts in partnership with commercial leadership. * Manage the full sales process for assigned opportunities, ensuring successful conversion. * Identify and deliver strategic sales initiatives to position my client the leading partner of choice. * Prioritise high‑value customer engagement and contribute to best‑practice sales processes. * Coordinate and influence subject matter experts and support teams to enhance bidding and sales outcomes. About You * Proven Business Development experience within the Facilities Management sector, ideally focused on Business & Industry. * A strong track record of securing new business and driving profitability & growth. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider commercial team. * Prior success in crafting creative, customer‑centred solutions and converting bids. * Excellent communication skills, high personal drive, and strong stakeholder engagement experience
