Installation Engineer

Finchley, London 💼 Full-time | Permanent 💰 £45,000 – £58,000 (depending on experience) We are looking for reliable, hands-on Installation Engineers to join a growing specialist team. This is a physically active, outdoor role working on a wide range of buildings and structures across the UK. You’ll be installing specialist safety and earthing systems on commercial, industrial, and public buildings. 🔧 The Role You will be: * Installing roof conductors, down conductors and earthing systems * Working at height on structures such as: * Office buildings * Schools & hospitals * Tower blocks * Industrial sites & power facilities * Using access equipment including ladders, scaffolding, mobile platforms and safety harnesses * Working from technical drawings and installation plans * Carrying out inspections, maintenance and system testing * Returning to sites for phased installation work when required 💪 What We’re Looking For * Comfortable working at heights (essential) * Physically fit and able to climb, lift and work outdoors * Good balance and coordination * Confident using tools and site equipment * Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety * Organised and prepared for site work * Willing to travel and occasionally work away * Full UK driving licence preferred * Normal colour vision Experience in construction, roofing, access systems, rigging, or similar site-based work is highly beneficial. 🎓 Training & Development We support ongoing training and industry qualifications including: * Access & rigging certifications * Health & safety training * Working at height * First aid * Specialist system installation Opportunities to progress to Supervisor and Manager roles with experience. 🕒 Hours & Environment * Typically 40 hours per week * Overtime available (evenings & weekends) * Outdoor work in varied weather * Travel to sites across the UK 💼 What We Offer Competitive salary Overtime opportunities Long-term career progression Specialist industry training Work as part of a skilled and supportive team
